On 18 December 2025, two info sessions were organised with 30 students from “Ali Asllani” High School in the Municipality of Selenica, aiming to raise awareness on plastic pollution in rivers and marine environments and introduce circular economy concepts.

Through interactive discussions, presentations, and group work, students explored how plastic waste travels from their communities to rivers like the Vjosa and the sea. They reflected on their daily plastic use and identified key sources of pollution in their surroundings, while also sharing ideas on how young people can contribute to solutions at personal, school, and community levels.

💡 Students also put their knowledge into action by:

* Creating environmental awareness posters displayed at school
* Participating in a clean-up activity around the school environment

These sessions not only strengthened students’ understanding of plastic pollution and circular economy principles, but also motivated them to actively engage in the RiverCLEAN project.
