This action is directly aligned with the global objective of the call for proposals, which seeks to strengthen the role and capacity of civil society to promote and defend a more participatory, just, and democratic society. Moreover, it supports the specific objective of Lot 1, which is to increase the capacities of CSOs to participate in decision-making processes, cooperate with relevant stakeholders, and monitor environmental, climate change, and conservation issues. The final beneficiaries of this project proposal include the broader population living along the Ishëm and Vjosa River Basins, who will benefit from reduced plastic pollution and improved environmental quality. Public authorities, the tourism industry, and the media will also benefit from enhanced environmental governance and the promotion of Albania as a cleaner, more sustainable destination.
