On 4th of July , in the framework of the “Cleaner Rivers – Cleaner Seas (RIVERCLEAN)” project financed by the EU Delegation in Albania, Environmental and Territorial Management Institute organized a beach litter monitoring activity in collaboration with Milieukontakt Albania. The selected location was near the delta of Vjosa river within Vlora Municipality.
This activity brought together our team and members of CSOs and local institutions to observe and record the types and quantities of waste.

👉 Types and quantity of litter found within a 100meter width according to the beach litter monitoring protocol
👉 how they affect the surrounding environment
Participants worked together to collect beach litter and sort it into categories. The number of collected items was 236 per 100meters. A total of 4.18 kg of waste was collected, specifically 2.42 kg of plastic items and 1.76 kg of other items.
