The main objective of the workshop was to gather information on the key climate risks affecting local economic activities, with a particular focus on the exposure of critical sectors, livelihoods, infrastructure, and assets to climate change and climate-related hazards.
Through interactive focus group discussions, participants shared their experiences and perspectives on climate-related challenges, including extreme temperatures, prolonged droughts, heavy rainfall, and flooding, as well as the potential impacts of these hazards on agricultural production, water resources, local businesses, and other economic activities. The discussions also explored the existing capacities of local stakeholders to cope with climate risks and the challenges they face in adapting to changing climatic conditions.
The information collected will contribute to the climate risk and vulnerability assessment of Roskovec Municipality, supporting the identification of exposed sectors, vulnerable assets, and priority areas for climate adaptation. The process contributes to the national priorities outlined in the National Adaptation Plan (NAP), promoting climate resilience and inclusive adaptation planning at the local level.
CP4R is financed through Pathways2Resilience (P2R) project, funded from EU and implemented by Environmental and Territorial Management Institute in cooperation with Roskovec Municipality.
