Climate Pathways 4 Roskovec – CP4R

Start 01/01/2026
- End 01/06/2027

Roskovec’s commitment to P2R objectives is reflected in strategic initiatives focused on transformative adaptation through innovation, cross-sector collaboration, and capacity building. The municipality is exploring innovative responses to climate risks, including green infrastructure, promotion of sustainable agricultural models (including smart/fostered agricultural practices), and efficient water irrigation systems. These efforts are supported by partnerships with technical experts and national/regional development agencies and related funding schemes. Additionally, Roskovec is investing in local capacity-building—through training programs, workshops, and development of guidelines on climate adaptation strategies. The CP4R project aims to strengthen capacities for climate change adaptation, foster cooperation among stakeholders and communities, and contribute to creating a territory that is more sustainable and resilient to climate impacts. The municipality aims to revise the Local Development Plan (endorsed by the Ministers’ decision) to mainstream climate resilience through risk-based planning, downscaled climate projections, and vulnerability analyses, while prioritizing resilient infrastructure, climate-risk management in agriculture, diversified water sources and sustainable adaptation, and health and social considerations within a long-term framework.
